Benefits of Pumpkin
Great for oily skin , dry skin, acneic skin, aging skin
Pumpkin is packed with fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), which increase cell turnover, to brighten and smooth the skin.
Pumpkin contains antioxidant Vitamin A and Vitamin C to help soften and soothe the skin and boost collagen production to prevent the signs of aging. Vitamin c also helps protect skin from free radical damage, such as wrinkles and even skin cancer.
Pumpkin also has the added benefit of containing beta-carotene, a vitamin A-derivative that decreases wrinkles, helps slough brown spots and can help reverse UV damage.
Pumpkin contains Zinc that is brilliant for acne sufferers. Zinc will help control the hormone level and oil production, as well as assist with healing of the skin.
Pumpkin is high in essential fatty acids and Vitamin E, which is necessary to maintain a good barrier function for the skin. They also regulate sebum, which is great for an oily skin.
The molecular structure of pumpkin is small and therefore can penetrate deeper into the skin when used topically. This is amazing for treating a dull complexion, aging skin and pigmentation.
Pumpkin is a good source of B vitamins such as niacin, riboflavin, B6 and folate. Niacin improves circulation, and hence, is beneficial in treating acne. Folate helps to increase circulation, which improves cell turnover and renewal.

*Is there anything I should do to prepare for my treatment?
Yes. Do not use tanning beds, lie out in the sun, or get waxed 24 hours before the treatment.
*Is Microdermabrasion painful?
No, it is more a warming sensation. There can be some mild irritation involved, but we use products to lessen this experience. If you have hypersensitive skin, your esthetician will discuss your options. One of them includes adding a specialty mask after your treatment to cool the skin.
*Is there anything I should do after my treatment?
Yes, use the products recommended by the esthetician. This will maximize your results. Also, no tanning, waxing, or sunless tanning of the face for 24 hours after the treatment.
*What results should I expect from Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion results are effective; however, it’s important to understand the basic limitation of microdermabrasion treatment. Because microdermabrasion only treats the outermost layer of skin it can have no effect on skin conditions that exist at deeper levels of skin. Microdermabrasion cannot produce great results against deeply pitted acne scars or old white stretch marks. However, there are some cases where microdermabrasion works in conjunction with other treatments to produce a synergistic effect with excellent results against even deep skin conditions.
In order to see significant results expect to undergo a series of treatments. It can take anywhere between 4-12 microdermabrasion treatments to see good results depending on your condition.
*How often should I do Microdermabrasion?
Results of microdermabrasion are long lasting, but not permanent. Once results are obtained from completing an initial series of treatments, a periodic follow up treatment every 3 months is recommended in order to maintain results.
